Frequently asked questions about palm reading
What do hands really reveal?
Your hand describes tendencies and habits - not your future. Shape, finger lengths, thumb angle and the course of the lines tell how someone typically grips, works and communicates. Predictions about illness, accidents or lifespan cannot be derived from them seriously.
Is palmistry scientific?
The interpretation is not; the observation can be. There is no evidence for fortune-telling. But there are solid links between hand features and biology - such as the 2D:4D finger ratio as a marker of prenatal hormone exposure. More in the 2D:4D article.
Which hand do you read?
Both, but with a different view. The active hand - the right one for right-handers - describes how you work and live today. The passive hand counts as predisposition. More in left or right hand.
What are the four hand types?
Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The system comes from ancient four-element theory and uses two values: palm shape and finger length. Earth is wide and compact, Air slender with long fingers, Fire long with short fingers, Water narrow and long.
What does a short life line mean?
Nothing about lifespan. That is the most persistent myth in palmistry. The life line stands for vitality and energy - not for how long you live. Read the life line guide.
What does the hand analysis cost?
Nothing. Analysis, blog and background knowledge are free, without registration and without an account.
Does my photo stay on my device?
